Birds Of Tokyo

Formed in Perth, Birds of Tokyo have grown from independent roots to become one of Australia’s most popular contemporary rock bands.

The band has released six studio albums including Human Design, which topped the ARIA charts.

Classic songs like “Good Lord”, “Two Of Us”, “Plans”, “Lanterns”, “Brace” and “I’d Go With You Anywhere” have all been top 10 airplay hits, and more than seventy Birds of Tokyo tracks have featured on Triple J, making them one of the National Youth Broadcaster’s three most-played artists of this millennium.

They have played major festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Falls, and appeared as special guests for Muse, Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel and Bon Jovi. They have also toured across Australia with some of the country’s most prestigious symphony orchestras.

Birds of Tokyo have won “Rock Work Of The Year” on a record-setting five separate occasions at the APRA Awards.

In late 2021, the band released “Superglue (feat. Stand Atlantic)” alongside their headlining appearance at the AFL Grand Final in Perth. They followed it with “Smith Street”, a song written during the Victorian and NSW lockdowns that celebrates the feeling of running free.

Ahead of their 2022 summer arena tour with Keith Urban, Birds Of Tokyo released the shimmering track “Daylight”. The infectious, California-tinged tune was produced by the band’s guitarist Adam Spark and mixed by Rich Costey, whose credits include Foo Fighters, Sigur Rós, The Killers and Sam Fender.

With four consecutive number-one albums, 17 ARIA Award nominations and more than 1.2 million albums sold in Australia, Pete Murray is one of the country’s most successful and enduring singer-songwriters.

Pete Murray has built a career defined by raw authenticity and a string of multi-platinum records. His breakthrough album, Feeler, became the soundtrack for a generation, remaining on the charts for more than 80 weeks and producing timeless songs including “So Beautiful” and “Bail Me Out”.

Its follow-up, See the Sun, delivered two of Pete’s biggest hits, “Better Days” and “Opportunity”. Since then, his sun-drenched blend of acoustic rock and soulful folk has made him a permanent and much-loved part of the Australian music landscape.

The Rubens

Formed in Menangle, NSW, The Rubens are made up of Margin brothers Zaac, Sam and Elliott, alongside long-time friends Scott Baldwin and William Zeglis.

Since forming in 2011, the band have grown into one of Australia’s most loved alternative rock acts.

Their breakout came quickly after uploading “Lay It Down” to Triple J Unearthed, winning the Unearthed Homebake competition and setting the tone for what would become a huge career. Their self-titled debut album followed in 2012, earning them Triple J Unearthed Artist of the Year, multiple Hottest 100 entries and ARIA Platinum certification.

The band’s follow-up album, Hoops, debuted at number two on the ARIA Charts, with the title track taking out the number-one spot in Triple J’s Hottest 100 and going on to achieve multi-platinum status. Known for their ability to craft both anthemic hits and intimate moments, The Rubens quickly became a staple across major festivals and sold-out tours in Australia and internationally.

Their fourth album, 0202, debuted at number one on the ARIA Charts, with standout single “Live In Life” achieving double-platinum status and widespread acclaim. With more than 350 million streams globally, The Rubens have cemented themselves as one of Australia’s most consistent and influential bands.

Renowned for their high-energy performances and crowd sing-alongs, the band most recently toured their fifth album, SODA, to more than 30,000 fans across regional Australia, continuing their deep connection with audiences nationwide.
