Coral Restoration Experience at Kandooma
In partnership with A Perfect Foundation (the non-profit organization supported by Music In Paradise and The Perfect Wave), a portion of your event ticket directly funds the ongoing running costs of our Coral Restoration Program at Kandooma. While your ticket supports the behind-the-scenes conservation work, you are invited to join The Perfect Wave team for an exclusive, hands-on group restoration experience for a small fee. Come get your hands wet and help regenerate and protect the Maldives’ precious marine ecosystem.

Your Coral Restoration Journey
1
Discover the Impact
Learn about the vital role coral grafting plays in reviving degraded reefs, protecting marine life, and building long-term climate resilience in the Maldives.
2
Land Demonstration
Guests will first practice attaching coral fragments to a demonstration frame on land, gaining an understanding of the restoration process before entering the water.
3
Build Your Frame
In small teams of 2-3, you’ll attach live coral fragments onto a restoration frame in shallow water, laying the groundwork for a new coral colony.
4
Deploy to the Reef Garden
Together with The Perfect Wave team, you’ll take a short boat trip out to the restoration site to deploy and connect your completed frame to the existing house reef.
5
Snorkel the Restoration Site
(Weather and ocean conditions permitting) Snorkel over the coral garden and watch firsthand as our expert divers secure your team’s newly built frame to the ocean floor.
Please mention to the team that you are part of the Icehouse MIP event when booking.
